Job Description

Role: Warehouse Operative

Salary: €29,000-€32,000 DOE

Duration: Full time

Location: Dublin North

Hours: Monday-Friday

Warehouse Operative

Leading supplier of goods within the construction and appliance industry, based in North Dublin, is currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will hold a valid counterbalance forklift license and be manual handling certified. This role offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, with every other Saturday available at a competitive overtime rate.

As part of the warehouse team, your primary responsibilities will include operating the counterbalance forklift to safely load and unload goods, assisting with order picking, and preparing items for dispatch and customer collections. You will also support the inbound and inventory control teams by participating in cycle counts and stock takes, ensuring all associated paperwork is completed accurately. Adherence to company health and safety policies is essential.

Occasionally, you will be expected to assist with deliveries to various branches across the Dublin region, so a valid EU B driver’s license is required. This is a terrific opportunity to join a team where no two days are the same, offering variety and a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general warehouse duties as and when required such as picking & packing orders for dispatch.
  • Operate the forklift daily with activities including which loading and unloading goods, transferring stock to designated locations whilst operating the counterbalance.
  • Monitor inventory levels while reporting shortages and damages to the relevant supervisor.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately managed for the returns process and the movement of goods.
  • Follow the company’s health and safety protocols, taking responsibility for your own safety and others.
  • Assist with the delivery of material to various branches whilst operating the companies’ vehicles and adhere to all road legislations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating counterbalance in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Valid counterbalance forklift cert required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manual handling certificate
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Physically able to handle loads of up to 20 kg.
  • Full EU B Driver’s License.
