They’re now seeking a Category Buyer to support their expanding operations. With offices in both Dublin & China, they’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment to join their team.

You will be responsible for sourcing new products and driving category performance. You will work closely with the team in China to ensure smooth coordination and the successful delivery of strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for achieving key KPIs and supporting overall business growth. You will maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while proactively identifying and developing partnerships with new suppliers.

Responsibilities
• Sourcing and delivering the right products at the right time to meet customer needs and support commercial goals.
• Review competitor activity and broader market trends to ensure the category remains competitive.
• Analyse product performance, assess current ranges and take proactive action where needed to optimise results.
• Manage and develop strong relationships with existing suppliers while introducing new suppliers when necessary to maintain a balanced range and ensure timely deliveries.
• Collaborate closely with marketing and graphic design teams to plan new product launches and create impactful promotional campaigns.
• Build effective working relationships with agency suppliers and internal stakeholders to support category success.
• Work hand in hand with the Supply Chain and Logistics teams to manage product inventory and ensure smooth operational flow.
• Prepare and deliver performance reports to management, offering insights and recommendations on category direction.
• Support the development and implementation of promotional strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.

Requirements
• Experience in the procurement and category buying industry
• Ability to deliver required sales and margin targets.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
• Highly organised with exceptional problem solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills paired with a proactive, hands on approach.
• Confident numerical ability and strong IT proficiency.
