As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of the cloud infrastructure. This involves collaborating with various teams to implement security best practices, monitoring for potential threats, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. Your expertise in cloud security, coupled with your ability to adapt and respond to emerging threats, will be crucial in safeguarding the platform and its users.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage secure cloud environments using AWS.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
- Monitor cloud environments for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure development and deployment processes.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on cloud security practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud security technologies.
- Document security incidents and produce detailed reports and analysis.
- Participate in the creation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS security services and best practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and security principles.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
- Must hold an EU passport or be eligible to work in the EU with no restrictions.
