IT Support Technician
Are you a skilled IT Support Technician looking for a new challenge? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join a dynamic team at a leading organisation based in City West. In this role, you will play a key part in providing technical support across the organisation, ensuring smooth IT operations and resolving issues efficiently.
Experience with SAP is highly desirable, and you will have the chance to work closely with advanced systems, supporting various business functions. The role offers exposure to a range of technologies, with a focus on troubleshooting, email support, and handheld device maintenance. Responsibilities:
• Provide first and second-line technical support to users, addressing issues promptly via email, phone, and in-person communication.
• Set up new users on the network, including hardware configuration and software installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with handheld devices, ensuring they are fully functional.
• Maintain IT infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Support software and hardware updates, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
• Work with the team to manage escalations and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
• Document all issues, resolutions, and processes to ensure accurate records.
• Collaborate with external vendors when necessary for specialised support or equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in an IT support role, ideally within a corporate or multi-site environment.
• Strong understanding of SAP or willingness to learn (SAP experience is an advantage).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting handheld devices, such as scanners and mobile devices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Experience in setting up new users, managing accounts, and configuring hardware and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and system administration.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
