Procurement and Stock Coordinator
Procurement and Stock Coordinator role has opened in a distinguished retail enterprise with a strong nationwide presence. You will be stepping into an environment where you’ll support a company known for its wide product range, strong presence across the country and an outstanding reputation for knowledgeable customer service.
You’ll take an active role in keeping the product flow running seamlessly, driving stock replenishment, maintaining accurate product data and ensuring smooth processes across the entire team. You’ll help elevate customer experience while contributing directly to achieving sales and margin goals.
You’ll support the optimisation of weekly stock requests alongside the Stock Control Manager and Senior Buyer. You’ll also be responsible for creating purchase orders, collaborating closely with suppliers to keep both warehouse and in store stock aligned with team KPIs and business needs.
Responsibilities
• Support the Stock Control Manager in executing strategy across product categories.
• Coordinate stock replenishment processes to ensure efficient stock flow and availability.
• Manage creation, processing and tracking of purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate and up to date product system data.
• Ensure strong administrative processes within the book trading team.
• Ensure appropriate stock levels for events, author signings, and store activities.
• Collate and manage weekly stock requests from stores.
• Work closely with the Stock Control Manager and Senior Buyer on allocation and replenishment tasks.
• Generate, issue and manage purchase orders with suppliers.
• Liaise closely with suppliers to maintain warehouse and in store stock levels in line with team KPIs.
• Monitor, track and resolve supply or stock issues proactively.
• Produce regular sales, system and ad hoc reports as required.
• Participate in key initiatives and cross functional activities that support the book trading category
• Contribute to delivering an excellent customer experience while supporting sales.
Requirements
• Highly proficient in Excel and a wide range of Microsoft Office tools
• Strong experience in procurement, stock control or similar supply chain functions
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• Advanced analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Strong focus on task execution with the ability to meet tight and competing deadlines
• Excellent relationship building skills with both internal teams and external partners
