You will be important in supporting the daily operations of the procurement and stores functions. You will be ensuring accurate receipt of goods, proper storage and timely distribution across all department. You will also maintain high standards of quality and safety. You’ll collaborate closely with the procurement supervisor and head of procurement to help drive sustainability initiatives and support cost-effective purchasing practices.
Responsibilities
• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality align with purchase orders.
• Report any discrepancies or damaged items to the procurement supervisor and relevant suppliers.
• Accurately record and manage purchasing data using internal procurement systems.
• Process requisitions, returns and transfers in line with operational needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the goods receiving area and storage facilities.
• Support monthly and annual stocktakes.
• Distribute stock and supplies to departments based on approved requests.
• Contribute to sustainability efforts within the Procurement Department.
• Follow all Health & Safety, fire and hygiene regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the procurement supervisor or management.
Requirements
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Professional, positive and responsible approach to work.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards
