Salary: €16.65 per hour (rising to €17.65 per hour after 9 months)

Renowned fresh food corporation is seeking to hire a motivated, reliable and dedicated Rigid Driver to join their multi-faceted team in North Dublin. This is a multi-drop role, requiring between 10-25 drops a day, so previous experience performing multi-drop deliveries is preferred. As a successful candidate, you will be the holder of valid CPC & Tachograph cards, as well as a full, clean, valid C license.
New hires will begin their employment with an introductory week in the warehouse, dedicated to order picking responsibilities. This period aims to cultivate a thorough understanding of operational procedures. In the second week, employees will shadow an experienced driver to gain familiarity with delivery routes and company policies, facilitating a seamless integration into their driving position.
Responsibilities:
- Starting your workday early at 2 AM to guarantee on-time deliveries.
- Driving trucks safely to transport goods to their correct destinations.
- Following all road rules and company safety guidelines.
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks.
- Returning delivery containers promptly and safely
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and logs.
- Offering excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Working overtime when needed to earn bonus pay.
- Spending the first week gathering items in the warehouse.
- Learning from an experienced driver during the second week.
Requirements:
- Experience driving rigid trucks
- Multi-drop delivery experience
- A valid CPC, Tachograph and C-Class license
- Thorough knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to start work in the late hours of the night
- Excellent English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safe driving
