Duration: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Parkwest, On-site (Evening Shift)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 15:00 – 23:00 / 00:00
Senior General Operative
Thriving logistics company is seeking a Senior General Operative to join its evening operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment and is looking to take on a senior-level role with added responsibility. Working as part of a close-knit team of four, this position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods through the warehouse during critical evening hours.
You will bring a proactive approach to daily operations, demonstrating strong organisational skills and a commitment to accuracy and safety. This role combines physical warehouse duties with system-based tasks, requiring a balance of hands-on work and attention to detail.
The position is ideal for someone seeking progression and confident operating forklifts.
Responsibilities:
• Loading and unloading trucks efficiently and safely using a counterbalance forklift
• Accurately picking and packing orders in line with company procedures
• Uploading and managing stock data within the internal warehouse management system
• Ensuring all goods are handled with care and stored correctly
• Supporting team members to meet daily operational targets
• Conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
• Acting as a senior team member, providing guidance and support within a small team
Requirements:
• Valid counterbalance forklift certificate (essential)
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Proven ability to load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
• Experience picking orders and moving pallets
• Good level of IT literacy for system updates and stock control
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual and committed to evening shift work
• Flexibility to work until midnight when required .
