Shunter Driver Weekend Hours 6am – 6pm

Leading transport and logistics provider is seeking an experienced and reliable Shunter Driver to join their team on a part-time basis Saturday – Sunday 6am – 6pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the depot and adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Safely manoeuvre trailers within the depot, ensuring correct placement and organisation for efficient loading and unloading.
Perform daily vehicle inspections, report any defects or maintenance requirements to management, and maintain accurate records.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure a seamless operation.
Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
Previous experience in a shunting role
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays.
