Supply Chain Planner
This company has evolved from a small, founder led operation into a specialised eCommerce organisation known for its reliability and customer-first mindset.
You’ll report directly to the Finance Director as the company enters its next stage of expansion. Your work will influence essential planning processes, directly contributing to revenue gains and stronger business outcomes.
From delivering accurate supply forecasts to maintaining optimal stock levels, your responsibilities are to ensure the effective operation of the business. Your commercial insight will inform key trading decisions and your collaboration with the buying and finance teams will contribute to strong, sustainable margin performance.
The role operates on a hybrid basis, with three days spent in the company’s Dublin City Centre office and two days working remotely.
Responsibilities
• Produce comprehensive commercial reporting comparing actual performance with budgets and forecasts.
• Work with finance and buying teams to set sales and margin targets for upcoming periods.
• Monitor cost movements, product mix changes and key profitability drivers.
• Manage stock intake within open to buy parameters, balancing financial control with commercial opportunity.
• Develop robust replenishment models using rate of sale trends, cover weeks and seasonal demand analysis.
• Oversee slow moving and excess inventory, recommending timely corrective actions.
• Lead out of stock reporting and root cause assessments to minimise lost sales.
• Evaluate promotional performance, including sales uplift and margin impact.
• Deliver margin analyses across categories, suppliers and promotional activity.
• Provide insights that shape future promotional strategies and support margin protection.
• Monitor promotional results across suppliers, categories and product groups.
• Support buyers in supplier management, negotiation and purchase order planning.
• Coordinate closely with finance to ensure intake remains aligned to OTB budgets.
• Share analytical insights with merchandising, supply chain and trading teams to support informed decisions.
• Enhance financial discipline by improving forecast accuracy, strengthening margin delivery and producing timely, insight driven reporting.
Requirements
• Highly analytical with the capacity to manage and interpret substantial and complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Excel and in the use of professional planning or analytical systems.
• Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to inform and influence critical business decisions.
• Highly organised with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
• Ability to operate effectively within fast paced environments.
• Experience in a demand planning, merchandising or supply chain analytics role.
• Solid understanding of open to buy methodologies and associated stock planning tools.
