Job Description

Role: Artic Truck Driver

Salary: €18.50p/h €15.40meal allowance

Location: South Dublin 

Duration: Permanent

Artic Truck Driver

Leading FMCG in South Dublin is currently seeking to add an Artic Truck Driver to their transport team. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of Irish roads and previous experience driving Artic Trucks. You should be comfortable operating a right hand-drive vehicle and driving on the left-hand side of the road. You should be confident reversing trailers to loading bays and be willing to pass a driving assessment as part of the interview process.

This role offers a competitive salary, and a tax-free meal allowance every day of €15.40. This position involves unloading and loading trucks, so a level of physicality is required.  

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in loading & unloading the trucks
  • Route-planning ahead of schedule
  • Ensuring no damage is done to vehicles or produce
  • Daily safety checks of the trucks
  • Communicating with customers
  • Ensuring deliveries are made efficiently and punctually
  • Performing multidrop or A-B deliveries
  • A commitment to safe driving and adhering to regular traffic laws

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating an Articulated truck
  • Full CE Irish/EU driver’s license
  • CPC & Tachograph cards
  • Manual Handling
  • Familiarity with driving at night-time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience delivering perishable items goods
