Operations Manager
Expanding engineering and industrial services business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and develop its warehouse, workshop, logistics and operational functions across multiple sites in Dublin. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the CEO and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on business performance, operational excellence and future growth.
The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity and customer service are maintained. This role requires a commercially aware leader who can drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimise operational processes and build a high-performing team culture. The position would suit an experienced Operations Manager, General Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager or Supply Chain professional looking to take the next step in their career.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, the Operations Manager will oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, production planning, logistics coordination, quality systems and people management. Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all operational activities across warehouse, production, workshop and logistics functions
Drive operational excellence, productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives
Ensure efficient production planning and execution to meet customer delivery requirements
Manage inventory accuracy, stock control and warehouse efficiency
Oversee goods receiving, storage, picking, dispatch and distribution activities
Optimise warehouse layouts, storage systems and operational workflows
Manage inbound and outbound logistics, freight providers and supplier relationships
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company policies
Champion a strong safety-first culture throughout the organisation
Support the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where required
Manage budgets, operational costs and resource allocation effectively
Support digital transformation and systems improvement projects
Oversee ERP system utilisation and drive process standardisation
Lead, coach & develop warehouse, production and operational teams
Support recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning activities
Conduct performance reviews and foster high levels of employee engagement
Collaborate with senior leadership to support business growth and operational scalability
Requirements
Proven experience in an Operations Manager, General Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager or similar senior operational leadership role
Strong background within manufacturing, engineering, industrial distribution, technical products, logistics or related sectors
Experience managing warehouse, inventory, logistics and production functions
Demonstrated success delivering operational improvements and efficiency gains
Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality management systems
Experience working with ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Knowledge of ERP systems and operational reporting tools
Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
Commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational performance and profitability
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
