You will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects, ensuring that all procurement activities are aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to forge strong relationships with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms.
Manage the procurement process from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure consistent supply of materials.
Collaborate with project managers and site teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain.
Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Stay updated with market trends and industry developments to inform procurement decisions.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Procurement Buyer, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction materials and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
