Counterbalance Driver
Hands-on role for a Counterbalance Driver, joining a dynamic team in Santry, North Dublin, providing essential support to logistics and warehousing functions. Operating a counterbalance forklift, this position is critical to ensuring smooth operations, with responsibilities covering loading and unloading, moving goods safely, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role requires a keen eye for safety and the ability to handle goods efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Counterbalance Driver, with a strong focus on safety and reliability. Responsibilities
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move goods around the warehouse efficiently and safely.
• Load and unload vehicles in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and care.
• Ensure all goods are stored in the designated areas, maintaining order and accessibility.
• Conduct routine equipment checks, adhering to safety protocols and reporting any maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse operations and manage stock levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work areas to comply with health and safety standards.
• Record inventory movements accurately, supporting warehouse management and minimising discrepancies.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to uphold quality standards in all handling processes.
Requirements
• Valid counterbalance forklift license with a proven track record of safe operation.
• Experience as a Counterbalance Driver, ideally in a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, with an understanding of warehouse health and safety practices.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to handle physical tasks and operate equipment for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts if required, with a proactive approach to supporting team needs.
• Basic IT skills for recording stock movements, beneficial but not essential.
