Job Description

Role: Flat Bed Rigid Driver
Salary: €18.09 per hour
Duration: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Cork, Ireland
Benefits: Overtime paid at time and a half, paid weekly

Flat Bed Rigid Driver
Exciting opportunity for a skilled Flat Bed Rigid Driver to join a well-established company in Cork. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, with regular working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The role offers stability, competitive pay, and additional benefits, making it ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career.
While experience operating a HIAB crane is beneficial, it is not a requirement, as full training will be provided. You’re a reliable, safety-conscious driver with excellent time management skills and the ability to handle deliveries efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a flatbed rigid truck, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Plan and follow designated routes while complying with road traffic laws.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
• Provide excellent customer service when delivering goods to clients.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring high standards of service.
• Use a HIAB crane for loading and unloading when required.

Requirements:
• Valid Category C driving licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and tachograph card.
• Proven experience as a rigid truck driver, preferably operating a flatbed vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Willingness to undergo HIAB crane training if not already certified.
• Good knowledge of Cork and surrounding areas
