Forklift & Van Driver
Distribution and supply business is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift & Van Driver to join a busy depot operation in Dublin. This is a varied role combining warehouse responsibilities with local driving duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on working environment and being out on the road when required.
The majority of the working day will be spent within the warehouse carrying out forklift operations, loading/unloading deliveries, organising stock and preparing orders for dispatch. In addition to warehouse duties, the successful candidate will also be responsible for travelling to the main distribution centre to collect parts and materials for the depot, along with occasional deliveries from suppliers directly to customers. This position requires someone reliable, organised and comfortable working independently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
The company is looking for a motivated individual with previous forklift driving and van driving experience who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A professional attitude and strong attention to detail are essential, as the role involves handling stock accurately and representing the business professionally during collections and deliveries.
Responsibilities:
• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
• Load and unload deliveries within the warehouse
• Pick, prepare and organise stock for dispatch
• Carry out collections from the main distribution centre
• Deliver supplier goods directly to customers when required
• Complete vehicle and forklift safety checks
• Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment
• Accurately manage stock movements and paperwork
• Support warehouse operations and general depot duties
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Full clean driving licence essential
• Previous warehouse and forklift experience
• Experience driving vans for collections and deliveries
• Good knowledge of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• Comfortable with manual handling duties
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
