Join a leading 3PL logistics company based in Santry, where the role of General Operative offers a dynamic and fulfilling career path. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in warehouse operations, particularly those skilled in picking, packing, and loading/unloading trailers. The role also involves using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure accurate stock management, with a keen focus on maintaining high standards of safety and security, especially concerning air cargo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing various warehouse tasks, from picking and packing stock to ensuring that trailers are loaded and unloaded safely. Confidence in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is essential, as is the ability to input stock data accurately into the system. The role demands someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately pick and pack stock according to company standards and client requirements.
• Load and unload trailers, ensuring safe and secure handling of goods.
• Operate within the warehouse to manage and process stock, ensuring accurate data entry into Warehouse Management Systems.
• Perform stock checks and maintain correct stock levels.
• Support the team in managing incoming and outgoing shipments, with a focus on air cargo security protocols.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery as required, adhering strictly to safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse processes and enhance efficiency.
• Complete all tasks in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
• Full, valid driver’s licence.
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate.
• Reach Forklift Certificate (advantageous).
• Proven experience in picking, packing, and loading/unloading trailers.
• Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong understanding of stock management procedures.
• Familiarity with air cargo security regulations (a plus).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
