Role: Junior Buyer
Salary: €30,000 – €35,000
Duration: Full Time

You will collaborate closely with the Buying team to build and maintain strong supplier relationships, supporting overall sales growth and market expansion. This role will involve you sourcing, evaluating and onboarding new suppliers to align with current and future business needs, while driving improvements in cost efficiency, product quality and delivery performance. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and introduction of new products and services that strengthen the company’s offering.

Responsibilities
• Manage daily procurement activities and order placement with suppliers.
• Assist Buyers in sourcing and selecting fresh produce.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Support Buyers in product planning, trading and strategic decision-making.
• Monitor stock levels against sales forecasts and projections.
• Analyse sales data to inform promotional and marketing strategies.
• Continuously review competitor offerings, pricing and market positioning.
• Conduct regular competitor product and pricing checks.
• Maintain daily communication and coordination with suppliers.
• Negotiate on quality, volume, delivery schedules and pricing to optimise margins and profitability.
• Liaise with line leaders daily to ensure timely order processing.
• Conduct all negotiations ethically and responsibly.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by Buyers and Management.

Requirements
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
• Show initiative and adopt a flexible, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
• Effectively manage workloads under pressure, ensuring tasks are planned and completed within deadlines.
• Apply sound reasoning and logical decision-making skills.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and clear communication abilities.
• Display confidence in negotiation and influencing outcomes.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of performance.
