As a Buyer, your responsibilities will include sourcing essential raw materials such as feed ingredients, packaging, and equipment required for production. You will negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure reliable delivery schedules. Managing inventory will be a key part of your role, guaranteeing smooth production without shortages. You will monitor supplier performance to maintain quality, traceability, and compliance with strict standards, while collaborating closely with internal teams across production, logistics and finance to align purchasing with operational needs. Additionally, you will support sustainability objectives by selecting local and environmentally responsible suppliers, contributing to the company’s long-term commitment to ethical and efficient supply chain practices.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor market trends and commodity movements to support data-driven decisions.
• Deliver cost savings through structured tenders and negotiations.
• Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and sustainability.
• Lead supplier onboarding and performance reviews in line with governance standards.
• Oversee contracts and renewals with key stakeholders.
• Plan and execute purchasing requirements in collaboration with internal teams.
• Maintain accurate procurement data within ERP and BI systems.
• Drive improvements in cost control, inventory management, and payment terms.
• Partner with senior leadership to align procurement strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on sustainability and governance initiatives.

Requirements
• Experience in procurement, ideally within FMCG or logistics.
• Proven track record in delivering cost savings, improving supplier performance and driving operational efficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft suit.
• Strong hands-on approach with a proactive mindset.
• Solid understanding of procurement policies and compliance standards.
• Skilled in creating and analysing detailed reports to support decision-making.
