Role: Purchasing Specialist
Salary: €42,000-€52,000
Duration: Full Time
Location: South Dublin

You will be responsible for the purchasing activities, ensuring that goods and services are sourced in a cost effective, timely and ethical manner. You’ll identify supplier needs, negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. While also maintaining accurate procurement records and collaborating with different departments to understand requirements and deliver the best value for the organisation.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Request and evaluate quotations and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Oversee the full purchasing workflow, including preparation of daily and weekly reports.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct performance assessments.
• Monitor stock levels and collaborate closely with inventory and warehouse teams.
• Ensure timely delivery of all goods and services.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal policies and applicable regulations.
• Address and resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies.
• Manage import, export, customs and logistics processes.

Requirements
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with procurement software or ERP systems and Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel.
• Excellent analytical and organisational abilities.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all procurement activities.
• Excel in managing vendor relationships, consistently supporting performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage your time efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and maintain smooth procurement operations.
