Role: Rigid Truck Driver

Salary: €16.65 per hour, rising to €17.65 per hour after 9 months

Duration: Permanent, Full-time

Location: North Dublin

Benefits:

• Daily meal allowance of €17.92 (tax-free).
• Yearly bonus of €1,500 for safe driving.
• Additional allowance up to €400 per month for the return of boxes.
• Potential earning up to €50,000 annually.
• Additional bonus of €105 for the 6th day worked in a 7-day period.

Rigid Truck Driver

Well-known logistics company is seeking to add a motivated and dependable Rigid Truck Driver to their team in North Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for seasoned drivers aiming to elevate their careers in a stable and fulfilling environment. The position offers a competitive hourly wage that increases after 9 months, along with various benefits and bonuses such as a daily meal allowance and annual bonuses for safe driving.

New hires will spend their first week in the warehouse, concentrating on picking tasks to gain a thorough understanding of the operations. In the second week, they will shadow an experienced driver to learn the routes and company procedures, ensuring a efficient transition into their driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Starting work at 2 AM to ensure deliveries are made on time.
• Driving trucks safely to deliver goods to the designated locations.
• Obeying all traffic laws and company safety rules.
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Returning delivery boxes safely and on time to get extra allowances.
• Keeping accurate delivery reports and logs.
• Providing great customer service during deliveries.
• Working a sixth day when needed, earning a bonus for the extra effort.
• Spending the first week picking items in the warehouse.
• Training with an experienced driver in the second week.

Requirements:

• A valid license for driving rigid trucks.
• Proven experience as a rigid truck driver or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of road safety rules and traffic laws.
• Ability to consistently start work at 2 AM.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and able to meet the job’s demands.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
