Join a leading medical device company in Dublin Southwest as a Supply Chain Planner and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and coordination of supply chain activities. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for optimising the flow of goods from suppliers to production, ensuring that all materials are available for manufacturing to meet customer demands. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining effective supply chain strategies that align with company goals. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, the ability to forecast supply needs and the capability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Use SAP software to analyse data and forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and prices.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements in supply chain processes.
- Prepare detailed reports on supply chain performance and present findings to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with both internal policies and external regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Planner or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in the medical device industry is highly advantageous.
