Warehouse/Production Supervisor
Warehouse/Production Supervisor is sought to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced production facility. This role requires hands-on management and leadership, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and safety targets are consistently met. With early shifts and a focus on maintaining high standards, this position is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Warehouse/Production Supervisor will manage a team of operatives, optimising workflows and maintaining the smooth running of operations. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior management to implement continuous improvement initiatives, improve operational performance, and meet key production targets.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and production teams to meet productivity goals
• Lead and mentor a team of operatives, providing training and guidance to ensure adherence to company standards
• Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient use of space
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, promoting a safe working environment
• Collaborate with other departments, including logistics and procurement, to ensure the timely movement of goods
• Develop and implement efficient production workflows, optimising processes to reduce waste and improve output
• Handle any operational issues that may arise, providing quick and effective solutions to minimise disruption
• Conduct regular performance reviews with staff, identifying areas for improvement and development
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, stock levels, and employee performance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
• Experience in implementing and maintaining health and safety standards
• Familiarity with stock management systems and production planning software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing demands and priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle operational challenges
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is desirable
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and senior management
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of work and achieving operational targets
