Salary: €65,000

Location: Rathcoole, Co. Dublin

CVRT Tester

Leading vehicle testing facility based in Rathcoole is seeking a qualified and experienced CVRT Tester to join its team. This role offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend work.. With a strong reputation for delivering reliable and professional testing services, the facility is dedicated to upholding the highest industry standards in commercial vehicle inspections.

Fantastic opportunity for a certified CVRT Tester who is looking for a long-term, stable position within a well-established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting statutory inspections on a range of commercial vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with RSA regulations. The facility is equipped with modern testing equipment and supports ongoing training to stay current with regulatory updates.

Responsibilities:
• Perform Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Testing (CVRT) in accordance with RSA guidelines
• Conduct inspections of vehicle components including brakes, suspension, lights, steering, and emissions systems
• Record and document test results accurately using the designated IT systems
• Liaise with vehicle owners and drivers regarding test outcomes and required repairs
• Maintain equipment and ensure the testing area is safe and compliant with health and safety regulations
• Participate in regular training to keep up to date with legislation and testing protocols
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient testing operation

Requirements:
• Valid CVRT Tester Licence issued by the RSA
• Recognised motor mechanic qualification (e.g. QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
• Experience in vehicle testing or automotive diagnostics is beneficial
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Competency in using IT systems for logging and reporting test data
• Commitment to health and safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
