Stepping into this procurement administrator role, you will help ensure the company’s growth is seamless. In this position, you’ll work hand in hand with the Commercial Manager, growing your knowledge of the full lifecycle of purchase orders, from sourcing to stock accuracy. You’ll be the person who knows the operational routine, who keeps the company running smoothly and who plays a vital part in the business, during its next phase of growth. This role blends purchasing, transport coordination and hands on warehouse stock management.
Responsibilities
• Own product setup and ongoing data maintenance to keep systems clean and up to date.
• Stay ahead of backorders, placing follow up orders proactively to keep stock flowing.
• Oversee product and transport costs, working alongside the Commercial Manager to ensure value and efficiency.
• Lead weekly cycle counts, digging into variances and getting to the root of discrepancies.
• Manage stock levels across all suppliers to ensure availability without overstocking.
• Partner with warehouse staff on stock locations, goods in accuracy and smooth workflows.
• Build and manage a robust goods in and returns process so every item is logged, checked and booked into the system correctly.
• Plan, prepare and coordinate full stock takes, investigating any anomalies with precision and persistence.
• Arrange transport from suppliers, keeping stock moving and timelines tight.
• Work closely with transport companies to secure timely deliveries every time.
• Handle customs requirements efficiently to avoid delays or complications.
Requirements
• Experience in purchasing, stock control or warehouse environment
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess strong IT capability with the ability to use Excel
• Adapt quickly and positively to new processes and ways of working
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable managing priorities and deadlines
