Role: Procurement Officer
Salary: €38,000-€40,000
Duration: Full Time
Location: Ashbourne, Meath

You’ll work side by side with the Commercial Manager, playing an integral role in the full lifecycle of purchase orders, keeping stock accurate, operations smooth and procurement on point. You will be confident and ready to take full ownership of the role, manage branch stock with precision and become a driving force within a team that’s pushing the business to the next level.

Responsibilities
• Maintain and update product information, including new product setups.
• Track orders throughout the entire supply chain.
• Calculate purchasing requirements based on current stock levels and sales forecasts.
• Monitor backorders closely and reorder as required to maintain availability.
• Provide general administrative support to keep day to day purchasing operations running smoothly.
• Manage and oversee all branch stock to maintain accuracy and availability.
• Coordinate and lead weekly cycle counts, investigating and resolving any variances.
• Review picking errors and ensure corrective stock adjustments are completed.
• Maintain optimal stock levels across suppliers, adjusting as needed.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff on goods inwards processes and stock location accuracy.
• Develop and oversee a structured goods in and returns process, ensuring all stock is booked correctly.
• Prepare for and manage full stock takes, including analysis and resolution of discrepancies.
• Arrange and coordinate transport for all inbound shipments from suppliers.
• Communicate with transport partners to ensure timely, reliable delivery.
• Handle required customs documentation and compliance tasks.
• Calculate accurate landed costs for each delivery.
• Compare and secure competitive transport rates from multiple providers.
• Track delivery timelines and maintain an up to date delivery schedule for warehouse and sales teams.

Requirements
• Proactive and take ownership, works independently and drives results with confidence.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across purchasing, stock control and all documentation.
• Team player with clear communication skills, able to work seamlessly with colleagues across multiple departments.
• Strong organisational ability and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
