The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and executing procurement activities, working closely with various stakeholders to meet organisational objectives.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your expertise in public procurement will be essential in achieving cost savings and maintaining high standards of service delivery. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals and objectives.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying needs to contract management.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best terms and conditions.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations and organisational policies.
• Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in public procurement, ideally within a similar role.
• Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough market research and supplier evaluations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant professional qualifications in procurement or supply chain management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
