Purchasing Manager

Big tech infrastructure company based in Dublin is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee a new European project, working closely alongside the Division Director to shape and drive the project’s success. The company is recognised for delivering high quality, efficient and innovative project solutions across a diverse range of sectors.

You will step into a high impact role as Purchasing Manager, taking on both direct and indirect procurement. From sourcing raw materials to managing contractors and key supply partners. You’ll be at the centre of an Ireland and EU project, overseeing every stage of its lifecycle, from the early pre build planning through the full fit out and right to the final close out of the project.

This is your opportunity to shape procurement strategy, influence commercial decisions and play a pivotal part in delivering a flagship project where your expertise will be essential.

You will be based at the Dublin headquarters, working on a hybrid model of three days in the office and two days remotely. Occasional travel to Europe, 2–3 times per year, will be required for site visits.

Responsibilities
• Lead end to end procurement for direct categories such as cabling and cooling infrastructure.
• Manage indirect procurement including facilities, contactors, professional services and operational supplies.
• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with capacity plans and budget objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and strategic vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and high service quality.
• Partner closely with design teams, general contractors and engineering stakeholders to support build outs and expansions.
• Coordinate sourcing and scheduling of long lead equipment to meet project timelines.
• Negotiate complex contracts, secure favourable commercial and service level terms.
• Partner with engineering, operations, IT and finance teams to forecast demand and determine optimal sourcing plans.
• Oversee supplier performance manage SLAs and resolve delivery or quality issues proactively.
• Ensure all procurement activities meet compliance, sustainability and data security requirements.
• Manage procurement workflows, purchase order, and reporting using ERP and sourcing systems, ensuring accurate financial and asset tracking.

Requirements
• Experience in procurement or supply chain roles within large scale infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of negotiating contracts such as NEC, Public Works Contracts and FIDIC
• Experience in reviewing tenders and onboarding suppliers.
• Proven track record in procuring goods and services across the construction industry.
• Skilled in conducting supplier prequalification, bid analysis, shortlisting and preparing well supported award recommendations.
• Advanced reporting, analytical and documentation skills.
