Rigid Driver

Respected logistics provider is seeking a reliable and safety focused Rigid Driver to support their growing nationwide operations. This long established Irish company is known for dependable service, friendly customer interaction and high operational standards. To be successful in this role, you must hold a Category C licence, a valid CPC card, and a Digital Tachograph Card.

The role offers day to day independence, a structured Monday–Friday routine and the opportunity to represent a well regarded brand on the road. This position provides stable weekly earnings of €750–€800 net.

You’ll begin your day at 8:00am at the distribution centre, starting with a thorough vehicle check to make sure your rigid truck is safe, compliant and ready for the road. After that, you’ll load your own vehicle, preparing 10–15 scheduled deliveries made up of both cartons and pallets. Once your truck is set, you’ll head out on your planned route.

You’ll work independently, completing deliveries with professionalism, care and a strong focus on safety. You’ll be the point of contact for customers on your route, representing the operation with a friendly and reliable approach. You’ll follow a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, giving you a predictable routine and clear structure to your working week.

Responsibilities:
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before departure to ensure the truck is fully compliant and road ready.
• Load your own rigid truck each morning with a mix of cartons and pallets, following safe manual handling practices.
• Complete 10–15 scheduled deliveries per day, following pre planned routes provided by the depot.
• Deliver goods safely, professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high standard of customer service at every drop.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork, scanners or digital confirmations are completed accurately.
• Follow all road safety, transport compliance and company procedures throughout the day.
• Communicate with the transport team regarding delays, issues or route related updates as needed.
• Represent the company in a professional manner while interacting with customers and other road users.
• Maintain cleanliness and care of the assigned vehicle at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Adhere to a structured Monday–Friday working schedule.

Requirements:
• Valid Category C (Rigid) driving licence.
• Up to date CPC with all required modules completed.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in multi drop or commercial driving (rigid experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of road safety, driver compliance, and safe loading practices.
• Ability to safely load and handle cartons and pallets.
• Good communication skills and a professional, customer focused manner.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently throughout the day.
• Ability to follow structured routes and company procedures.
• Reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the demands of loading and delivering goods.
