Job Description

Role: Rigid Driver Nights

Salary: €16.65 per hour, rising to €17.65 per hour after 9 months

Duration: Permanent, Full-time

Location: North Dublin

Benefits:

  • Daily meal allowance of €17.92 tax-free
  • Yearly bonus of €1,500 for safe driving
  • Additional allowance up to €400 per month for the return of boxes
  • Potential earning up to €50,000 annually
  • Additional bonus of €105 for the 6th day worked in a 7-day period
  • Weekly pay

Rigid Driver

Leading logistics company is seeking a reliable and motivated Rigid Driver to join their dynamic team with a start time of 2am. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to advance their careers in a stable and rewarding environment. With a competitive hourly rate that increases after 9 months, this role also offers a variety of benefits and bonuses, including a daily meal allowance and yearly bonuses for safe driving.

New joiners will start their first week working in the warehouse, focusing on picking tasks to gain a comprehensive understanding of the operations. In the second week, they will shadow an experienced driver to learn the routes and company procedures, ensuring a smooth transition into their driving duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Start daily operations at 2am to ensure timely deliveries
  • Safely operate rigid trucks to transport goods to designated locations
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure the safe and timely return of delivery boxes, eligible for additional allowances
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
  • Work an additional 6th day when required, with an extra bonus for the effort
  • Participate in warehouse picking during the first week
  • Shadow an experienced driver during the second week for training

Requirements:

  • Valid driving license appropriate for rigid trucks
  • Proven experience as a rigid driver or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
  • Ability to start work at 2am consistently
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to safety
